MERCEDES AMG E63 S VS AMG C63 S - WHICH IS MORE LIKELY TO BE A FLAGSHIP ?

 


Mercedes AMGs are almost favorite for most of us, because of their very attractive and stellar designs, and well known for the power these cars generates. Meanwhile, when Mercedes introduced to their AMG 63s, they started to draw attentions of many potential buyers, where the idea was to be in the competition with the BMW M series cars. Without comparing the M series with the AMG 63s, let see what rivalry Mercedes has within their own class, the E63 S and the C63 S.

The E63 came out in India, in the year 2014 while the C63 launched a year after. The cars are very much powerful indeed respected to their price ranges and if we talk about AMGs, then you have to pay a good amount for them

E63 S VS C63 S - WHICH HAS A BETTER ENGINE AND EFFICIENCY ?

Both happens to be a sedan, however the Coupe and 4-Matic are also there, keep those aside, talking about the fuel efficiency, the E63 happens to be bit more thirsty than the C63.

On the other side, at the fuel's cost, E63 gives you more power than the other, while both having the same engines but the E63 have a power of 603 bhp while the other one, the C63 generates power of 503 bhp, so you can easily guess now which car has a bit more aggression in terms of the power. Both have a  4.0 L V8 Bi-turbo petrol engine. The E63 and C63 generates torque of 2500-4500 rpm and 1750-4500 rpm respectively.

The new S versions are the power hike with their 9-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifts, and sports mode, only difference these cars having in their transmission is that, the E63 having the dual-clutch, which the C63 apparently does not have.

Both the cars are 4-door sedans, but the C63 S has a space for total of 5 People comfortably while Mercedes claims, the E63 S has space for only 4 people, there is no reason to understand this claim from them but lets just pretend that Mercedes got a more practical here.

The cars have beautifully designed alloy wheels, tyre size happens to be 265/35 ZR 20s & 245/35 R19s at the front and 295/30 ZR 20s & 265/35 R19s at the rear for the E63 S and C63 S respectively.


E63 S VS C63 S - SAFETY AND FEATURES

Both cars have a lot of Airbags on offer for both driver and passengers, has the basic ABS, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Brake assists as well. Add on with the Hill Assist, Traction Control, Power door lock, Automatic Climate Control, Rain Sensing Wipers, Automatic Headlamps, Rear Wipers and Headlamps washer which is very attractive in itself. The cars also have rear car parking camera and sensors, Cruise control, front and rear armrests and one of the most favorite feature, Key Less Entry. 

The cars have very beautifully aligned and designed ambient lighting on the interiors which are one of the most fancy reasons why people love these, because they are very much attractive indeed.








In conclusion, both of the cars are very much similar and almost carry the same characteristics, but in-spite of everything the E63 S is just a step ahead of the C63 S where it is just a matter of a bit more power. So, the E63 S might be the Mercedes flagship and may take on the mighty BMW M5 Competition as a rival.


The AMG E63 S starts from Rs,1.50 Crore (Ex-showroom) [Kolkata], while the AMG C63 S starts from Rs,1.33 Crore (Ex-showroom) [Kolkata].
